Our very first retail store was 2 kiosks, with a director chair in between,  at Aloha Tower when the Aloha Tower Marketplace first opened up in 1994. Miami and I had 2 adorable carts that were all snazzed up to look like 2 little grass "Rubber Shacks". We were there 9a-9pm, 7 days a week. We met so many folks who were thrilled to find us. Slowly, store owners began to ask if they could buy the stamps wholesale from us, to sell in their stores.

The Aloha Tower is a retired lighthouse that is considered one of the landmarks of the state of Hawaii. It was inaugurated on September 11, 1926, at a then astronomical cost of $160,000.  Aloha Tower is located at Pier 9 in Honolulu Harbor, which used to be where all the cruise ships came in.  Just as the Statue of Liberty greeted hundreds of thousands of immigrants each year to NYC,  Aloha Tower greeted hundreds of thousands of immigrants to Honolulu. At 10 stories and 184 feet (56 m) of height topped with 40 feet (12 m) of flag mast, for four decades the Aloha Tower was the tallest structure in Hawaii.

Say Aloha on your next project with this stamp.
